The CHK Nutrition neurotransmitter support formulas were developed by medical doctors while caring for their patients in clinics. Huge data bases from hundreds of clinics is the foundation for optimizing results with these formulas.

  These formulas are the precursors of neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. They are formulated to allow for increased levels of serotonin and dopamine without depletion of one of these two neurotransmitters as is the case when only 5-HTP or only L-dopa is used.

  NeuroReplete and D5 have the maximum vitamins and minerals needed for each day. If extra amino acids are needed use RepleteExtra or D5 Extra which do not have additional vitamins and minerals. Do not use more than 8 NeuroReplete or 8 D5 per day. Taking too much NeuroReplete to D5 may cause high dose vitamins to be an issue.

  While other companies may use faba beans as a source of L-dopa we have never and will never use this potentially deadly source of nutritional supplements (see "faba bean warning" link on the upper left of this page). Our source of over the counter L-dopa is from Mucuna the safest source of L-dopa in the world.

  There are only three raw ingredient manufacturers in the world that produce 99%+ pure 5-HTP and numerous manufacturers that produce lesser grades of 5-HTP. Since 1997 we have used so much 99%+ 5-HTP that we applied for and were awarded the trademark "99%+ Pure 5-HTP". We are now the only company in the world authorized to use this trademark by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

  TyrosineReplete is intended to be used primarily with urinary neurotransmitter testing ordered by physicians. Use of TyrosineReplete by itself may lead to depletion of serotonin.

  Use of tyrosine and L-dopa depletes sulfur amino acids (profoundly at times). CysReplete contains the sulfur amino acid cysteine. While any of the sulfur amino acid may be used the cost of cysteine and CysReplete is far less. For example the sulfur amino acid SAMe is about 20 times more expensive than CysReplete and does the same job. We posses the only first hand research data known showing objectively the optimal dosing needs for cysteine and sulfur amino acids.

  Protocols for taking these unique amino acid formulas are based on data base analysis of data from over 600 clinics with almost 1.5 million days of in clinical experience. All along we have taken the attitude that dosing is not optimal unless you have the data to prove it.
